What's the Plan Stan?

Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
Well here's some left over transfer pics. This is my posterity, although we're missing Elder Lawrence and Elder Wood cause they didn't come to transfer meeting.

Later that night, our branch had a Halloween dance that we got to go to. This is Sarah doing Brianna's Day of the Dead face paint.

This is Irvin dressed as Burt.

And then Elder Edward dressed as Mormon Burt.

And this is Victoria as the Mad Hatter.

So let's see. Every first week of the transfer, our entire zone gets together to have zone meeting. Which means we have to plan it. So over the course of three days, we took around fifteen hours and made it the best we could. And it turned out really well. We talked about what our purpose really is and how we have all these expectations that if we're not careful, become the end instead of the means to the end. In order to do so, we sent them on a scavenger hunt and had them do things like, "take a picture of what your nightly planning session looks like and air drop it back to us." The steps continued to videoing role plays of baptismal invites and Joseph Smith History recitations. However after each one, we told certain companionships that they were done and to have a seat. In the end only one companionship got the "baptism." They were all pretty confused and furious about it all and we explained to them that when we only stop at planning or achieving three member presents or whatever other requirements we have, we do the same thing. The means become the end instead of the means to an end. It was really fun and I'll send some of the pictures so you can see what it was like. But overall pretty great. Other than that, we had a really great guy come to church with a member and even after a nice deep doctrine conversation, he still stayed and was eager to learn.
We're looking forward to this next week. Pray that we find those souls that are prepared for us.
Love y'all,
