Bond... Elder Bond

Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
Man this week has been insane.
First off on Tuesday, we had a leadership meeting out in Liberty with all our district leaders and STL (sister training leader). The drive there was absolutely ridiculous. We were in the middle of a wind and rain storm and we watched three power poles fall over and we had to drive across fallen lines. Then as we were driving, we must have hit some sort of cold pocket, because all our windows in a matter of milliseconds fogged up completely. Every one slammed on their brakes and it was terrifying. By the time we got past that, we were all hungry, but slightly late to the meeting so we stopped by McDonald's and had probably the worst experience I personally have ever had at McDonald's. They messed up our order and just all sorts of things, but we were so late, we just had to go. We were pretty much in hysterics, but luckily we had a
really productive meeting. Here it is.

And Elder Edward fell asleep on the ride back.

Then on Thursday night, I went on an exchange with Elder Bond. This is him rolling up his air mattress.

He was my zone leader in Pine Trails, and is now one of the assistants. He's probably one of my most favorite people I've met out here. We come from similar backgrounds, and just kinda both click together. So not only did we have a lot of time to just talk and throw ideas around. It was absolutely great. And while we were contacting on a college campus, we walked up and met this guy from Nigeria named Femmy. We sat down and just talked to him about his country and his beliefs and was interested to hear more about ours. We taught him probably one of the most spirit filled lessons I've ever taught. It was perfectly balanced between Elder Bond and I and was just incredibly powerful and clear. I loved it. I'd never taught that way, but it just felt natural. I loved it. Highlight of my mission.

Then on Saturday, Elder Edward's recent converts from Vidor went to the temple for baptisms so we did too!

I got to see all the youth from Vidor and even got to do the baptisms for some of them. They were all so excited to see us both and loved that we were both put together. It was absolutely fantastic, and a great chance to just feel the spirit and be united with people that I love so much.

And then after the temple, I got my trunky papers.

It's official. They don't want me anymore. They sent me a letter saying so.
Time for the grind.
Love y'all!

Elder Biesinger and I went on exchanges. That was cool.

And then at Luis', Elder Knudsen stole my iPad and took pictures.
This is him and Geronimo.

This is him and the hermanas.

This is him and Luis.

And this is me and Hugo. He's probably one of the funniest guys I've ever met.

Gotta love it.
