Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
Well this week was pretty great. Went by really fast though. So this week, we rode up to the church to change into service clothes and there was this guy in the parking lot with a bike and backpacks everywhere. He had a beard, but Elder Edward and I both noticed that he was a YSA, so we jumped out and went to contact him. On the way over, he looked up and said "Hey Elders." After talking to him, we found out that he's been biking since June 1st for cancer. He started in Alaska and came across Canada, in through Montana, to Chicago, back into Canada, across Niagara Falls, down the east coast, through Florida and is making his way through Mexico so he can eventually get to Argentina. When we asked him when he would be done, he said "hopefully next summer." Just a super chill guy with his bike out for an adventure. He served his mission in Mexico City so he's gonna stay there for about a month, but it's all for charity. Pretty cool huh?

Then on the way to service, Elder Edward fell asleep.

And then this is us at service. A family in the West Lake Houston Ward had their house flooded with all the rain, so we helped him move everything into his garage and a truck. And he gave us hats.

At institute, a member asked me to get on a horse in the nursery.

And then this is Elder Edward at a porta-potty.

The reason we took a picture is because a member of our branch is one of the managers of that company. And we helped him move on Saturday. He's 24, single, and just had a house built for him. He is the definition of one who has a good head on his shoulders. Absolutely at peace with the fact that he's imperfect and that he's not married, but he knows he'll get there. And he's not worried about how long it takes. He's a great guy. I've grown to absolutely love him.

Well that's all I got. Other than the fact that SHANE'S getting baptized this week. Super stoked. We love Shane. He's got such a good heart.
Anywho,
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
T.H.E. Mission
