And Thus It Was

Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
My, what a week it has been. I don't know where to begin so I'll just go in chronological order.
Look at my zone! Aren't they pretty? Some of them got transferred but look at them! I love them.

Which reminds me, I didn't get transferred! And neither did Elder Edward. I'm actually super happy about that. It's so exciting.

So I'm pretty sure Elder Edward has a mild form of narcolepsy because any car ride longer than ten minutes, he's gone. So I'm starting a selfie album of it.

Also we went and got Bahamas Bucks and it was super tasty. Mmm.

And then on Friday night, two members of the branch took us to a hibachi grill.
IT WAS SO GOOD, I HAVEN'T HAD GOOD FOOD IN SO LONG.

So to my left is Brock Mathews. He's an absolute stud. And to his left is Sam Marsh. Also an absolute stud.

This week was good though. On Friday, I attended Elder Knudsen's district meeting. First off, Elder Knudsen is probably the best district leader I've ever seen. So he sent us on a scavenger hunt. The first clue, he air dropped to us (a way to send notes from iPad to iPad via Bluetooth) and once we figured out the next clue, we would air drop the answer to him and he would air drop the next place to us. After we ran around, took some embarrassing selfies, and got the last clue, it led us to the stage, where there were four notes written for each of us, expressing to us how much he loved and appreciated us. After we had read the notes, he said "so does everyone understand?" And we were all just kinda stunned as to why we just ran all over the church. He then explained that the district meeting was on prayer. He played the role of Heavenly Father and each time we hit a wall, we had to go to him. Now he could have easily just told us to go to the stage, or air dropped us all the clues at once, but instead, he let us need him. And in the end, he told us how much he loved us. It was a remarkable experience once I saw how it all came together. Then we talked about, of course, how to apply it to our investigators. It was honestly just a great way to learn about prayer. Taking it one step at a time. I loved it. I love learning. And...
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
T.H.E. Mission

The goofy pic of the zone. My grandson is in my lap. It's adorable.

So these are some of the selfies. We were told to go take a selfie in front of the church logo and air drop it back to him (Elder Knudsen).
This is Hermana Bonar. She's dying today and I am incredibly sad about it. She was a phenomenal Sister Training Leader and a very good friend. She will be missed.

This is Hermana Baker. She's a boss. Mad skills. Hermana Bonar just finished training her and now she's training! Isn't that great! I'm so proud of her and happy for her!

And this is Elder Barrett and I. He's staying another transfer! Woo!

And this is the Swood Hood. AKA the Summerwood District. My companion and I so thuggin.
