Togas and Training

Monday, October 6, 2014

Hello World,
Man, it's been quite a week. It was a week full of meetings and conference, but we still had one of the most spiritual experiences I've had on my mission. First off though, look at this:

Friends and neighbors, you're looking at the shortest Elder and Sister in the mission. Her name is Sister Del Bosque. Oh, and the other is named Elder Wright.

We had New Missionary Training all day Wednesday and it was fantastic. Plus, a long car ride with the Crowley Elders all the way to Houston. Lots of singing and drinking Cherry Lime Rickeys. Mm.
Then I taught my son how to make a toga. He's a tool.

He also managed to get an entire ball of yarn stuck in a fan. Just accept him.

So, this week we received a new investigator. She is investigating on her own because she's a fiance of a member. She has already become so dear to us. She has honest and sincere questions that are leading her to a joy that can only be found through the Gospel. Our first lesson was definitely accompanied by the Spirit. There were tears shed, and testimonies born. And it was one of the highlights of my mission. She is prepared, and we look forward to accompanying her on her journey to further truth.
Also, this is my district.

We had a district meeting this past Friday in which we all cried for about an hour because Elder Jensen is leaving. He will be missed and he is dearly loved.
Lastly, conference. I enjoyed President Uchtdorf's talk about self evaluation. I encourage all y'all to dive into the words of this modern prophet and heed his council. It can do nothing but bless you. I promise.
Anywho, hope y'all are well and continue to be well. Read. Pray. Church.
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
