Hello World,
This week has been absolutely crazy. So, investigators first, and then adventures. First off, STERLIN AND BRITNI MOVED RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM US! This is the miracle we've been waiting for. We went over and dedicated their home with them, and they are so happy. You could just tell. Even the kids were happier. It's so great. They are just doing great. AND our newest investigator came to church in our ward and loved it. And she always has questions which we love because not only does it mean she wants to learn, but it also means that we get to learn with her. It's so much fun. Also, we were invited to go to the temple with the Hortons this Saturday to see them get sealed, and we are SO excited. This is the first time I've ever experience this, but I'm so stoked. I'm so happy for them and I'm so happy that we get to go. These are the goals. When we called President to ask if we could go, we were actually shocked because there was not an ounce of hesitation in his voice about whether or not we should go. He just said "Well, that's the end goal, so you should probably go, huh?" We are very happy about this. As you can tell. I think I've said I'm happy like six times so far.
Now. Adventures. First of all, we had our proselyting efforts interrupted by the first religion of Texas: Football.
In Vidor, the whole town shuts down for the Homecoming game. There's a parade that lasts like an hour and a half, and the half of the town that's not in the parade is watching it. And then the game has an insane half time with fire works and a lights out show where the band marches with glow sticks in their hats instead of plumes and has flashlights attached to their ankles. And it's pretty much outlandishly delightful. And because the entire town shuts down, the missionaries here get to go to both the parade and the game. Otherwise you're knocking on empty doors. So that was Fridays activity. And it was great. Here's some pictures:

Rachel Horton made her daughters hats and somehow I ended up wearing one. She also made us ties. And we got A LOT of compliments on them. So thanks!

And this is us at the game with Cutler and Alyssa. They're so dang cute!

So then on Saturday, we were invited over to the Pittman's for a special dinner.....which involved killing, skinning and gutting our meal. Yes ladies and gentlemen, we ate rabbit for dinner. I will leave out the gruesome pictures, unless you want to see them in which case, let me know. But yeah. Thumper is no more. I can however tell you that he tasted delicious. Mmm. So I'll send you the funny pictures that we took.

So yeah. That's about as good as it gets. I absolutely love the adventures I get to have here as well as the people I get to serve. Everyday is a new adventure and I can't wait to see what happens next. Know that I love this work.
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
