This past week has been absolutely nuts. It was Elder Jensen and Elder Supplee's last week so needless to say there were many trips to buy cowboy boots and "lasts" of everything. Amidst all of this, we saw miracles with our investigators. One of them has been about 8 months coming: Sterlin and Britni are moving out tomorrow into their very own trailer! This is the catalyst on the path to baptism. After this, they just have to get married, and then get baptized. This miracle is the answer to many long nights of prayer from MANY people. We are so happy for this new progress. I hope you are as well.
Then we had an impromptu temple trip on Saturday. We were supposed to just work in the baptistery, but they didn't need us. So we did a session. It was so great. Just us four and our last few days with Elder Jensen. Here's a picture:
Then on Sunday/Monday morning we had a loss in the family. This is Bear:
He is one of the Moore's dogs and he just got to be too old so they put him down. It was incredibly sad and he will be missed. But I enjoyed the time I was able to spend with him. We've heard stories about him in his hay day where he took down a pitbull attacking the kids, carrying 2x4's in his mouth and kids riding him like a horse. So here's to you Bear. You're a good boy.
Then yesterday for pday, we got to go to Louisiana and fiesta. There's lost of pictures from that. But overall it was just a great ending to a great week. We literally traveled all across the mission this week and enjoyed every bit of it.
Lastly, I would like to tell you my recent news. I have been called as the new District Leader for the Vidor District. I am incredibly humbled by the trust that has been extended to me and have feelings of inadequacy, but I do have faith that the Lord will qualify who he calls. And plus this will bring many more adventures to be read in these emails. So who knows. You might just benefit from this too.
Friends and neighbors, I know this is a true Gospel. I've seen too many miracles to deny it. I would pray that you don't deny it either. You have a Heavenly Father who loves you. Remember that.
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
Cute dog.
Look at this HUGE FREAKING SPIDER!
This aptly sums up our companionship.
And this is Elder Supplee. He is my cuddle buddy and I'm going to start a band with him when I get home and we will rule the world with our face melting music.
