Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
Well. Long story short, I was on exchanges with Elder Biesinger, and we stopped to talk to a family outside, and then this snake showed up and the mom was a little frightened since she had her kids out there, so somehow, I was nominated as one dumb enough to catch it and release it. So here's my new friend.
Then the other day, I was sitting against the wall reading and Elder Stephensen decided I needed a cuddle buddy. So I took a picture.
And last night, we had a family home evening with our recent convert Carolina. The Hermanas are teaching her dad, so the Hermanas were there as well. And then our other investigator, who's Carolina's friend, and another one of the Hermanas investigators was there too. So it was pretty cool. We were playing spoons and the rule was if you lost you had to go read the Book of Mormon. Terrible right? But look, it worked!
And the last two were Elder Stephensen and Hermana Bonar.
Hermana Bonar won.
So yeah. That's pretty much it. It's been a good week. We had a 9 hour leadership meeting on Tuesday, and we learned a lot about how to be a more effective leader. And as we sit and are taught, I gain a testimony that each leader in this mission is called of God. That Heavenly Father does trust dumb 20 year olds with thousands of people's salvation. He qualifies who he calls. And it's great to see that. This is the opportunity of a lifetime. I don't know that I'll ever have the opportunity to grow this rapidly. So I'm so grateful for it. I love it.
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
T.H.E. Mission
