I've Made My Bed, and I'll Lie In It

Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
This week was a good one. I went on exchanges with Elder Knudsen and we went down to Broadway. And we found Hermana Leiva and her greenie, Hermana Owens! We served with Hermana Leiva in Pine Trails.

Elder Knudsen is great. We've served around each other a total of six months now, and he's hilarious. He was a band geek in high school so we get along really well. Gotta love him.

Then Elder Stephensen and I were driving along and saw this. So we snapped a picture cause it was funny.

And then Elder Stephensen found out he was being transferred so he snacked on sherbet and trail mix.

So in case you missed that, Elder Stephensen is getting transferred. It's his last transfer and he's been called to step down and train. I'm super excited for him, but I will also miss him. We had a lot of fun. ALSO: My first son Elder Lawrence was called to train as well! I'm a grandpa again! I'm so happy for him. And I can't wait to meet my grandson.

So. This is my bed.

I've learned to appreciate it. So I've made a resolution to make it every day for the rest of my mission and probably when I get home as well. Might sound dumb, but it's the least I can do to show my gratitude. Why am I so grateful you may ask? Well, if you remember, at the beginning of this transfer I was sleeping on the floor because our apartment wasn't ready. So while I was there, Elder Biesinger, who had just come into the mission, didn't get sheets from the mission office like he was supposed to. So I gave him mine and said he could borrow them till he get new ones from the APs, thinking it would only be a week or so. Long story short, he didn't get them till this past Thursday. So I've been sleeping on a mattress with a blanket for the past month and a half. And I'm not complaining. I'm really not, it really didn't matter to me, I had a place to sleep and a mattress, there are people with far less than I, so I wasn't complaining at all. However, this past Thursday when I got my sheets back and slept with them again, it was a whole new experience. I had taken for granted having soft sheets. And this may sound dumb to y'all, but I was just so grateful to be able to have a bed with sheets that right then and there, I decided that I was gonna make my bed everyday to show Heavenly Father that I was thankful for sheets. And that's my story for this week. That we really are blessed beyond our understanding. And that we should be grateful for bed sheets.
Thanks for all y'all's support.
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
T.H.E. Mission

Also we watched the YSA broadcast at Victoria's house, and this is what it looked like.

Also we discovered that if I sat all the way on her couch my feet didn't hang off.

And after about 30 minutes, this is what happened.

And after about 45 mins, Victoria was out as well.

Good times. Love y'all
