iOS 9

Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
Well, to start off, let me tell you about the iOS 9: I updated to the iOS 9, and because of the blocks and configuration done by the church on our iPads, it wrecked my iPad, and I had to completely wipe my iPad and reset it. So I lost all my pictures and notes. But oh well. So I took some new ones at some events we had. Saturday night, there was a Stake Fiesta that was super fun, and Hermana Bonar, our STL, took a picture with me:

Also, we had transfers, and my new companion is named Elder Edward. He's from Orem, Utah, but was born in Guam. He's super fun loving, and just a great guy. Love it.
And also, Carolina's dad, Luis, was baptized yesterday! It was so great!

Took some selfies...

That's Raul, he's a member of the branch and I absolutely love him. He's preparing to serve a mission.

And this is Elder Edward and me.

So. Elder Stephensen went to Broadway, which is where he wanted to go. And Elder Edward just came from Vidor 3rd, so we have a lot to talk about. We share stories about all the members and things that happened while we were there, and it's great. But within this first week, we had the opportunity to plan for zone meeting. We decided since we had such young missionaries, that we would give a meeting on motivation. We titled it "If ye love me, keep my commandments." So we taught that our motivation should be love of the Savior, and that if we truly had love of the Savior, we would automatically keep his commandments. We taught them things that if they applied, they could grow and facilitate their love of the Savior. And as we prepared for this, I learned a lot about love. Hermana Bonar had a great point that the opposite of love is not in fact hate, but is in fact apathy. And we learned that the times when we had felt Christ's love the most on our mission was when there was someone else there who stood on behalf of Him because they listened to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. What a marvelous concept. That God allows us to be a part of other's lives and to act on behalf of the savior. Everyday, I learn, and I love it. I love growing.
And I love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
