"I can feel 'em flyin' like a hand out the window in the wind."
Corny song.
Hello World,
Aside from the angry man with a black eye yelling two computers over in the library, things are good.
This past week was crazy. I didn't even realize that this transfer had passed by already. But hey, it did. So I'm staying in Vidor with Elder Huff and the adventure continues. For example, this past week, we had some flash flooding! Someone literally had a canoe in their front yard!

Also, I went on exchanges with my zone leader, Elder Supplee, who is basically one of the greatest guys I've ever met. He's proficient in karate, beat boxing, sound editing and producing, piano, zippo lighter tricks, and a number of other things. Because he spent half his life watching "how to" videos on youtube. He's pretty great. And here he is playing soccer with a dog.

So, that was that part of the week. The weather made it a little difficult to work, but we still managed to get some new investigators and meet with them twice. And get this: One of them has a mullet! And even better: It's a SHE. Yes, Chris and Jessica are our newest investigators, and it's really great. They're young, have a six month old, and want to get married and go to church. Luckily, we can help with that.
I would also like to introduce you to someone else. His name is Scott Horton.

He was a former Outlaw. Served for three years and two weeks after he got out, he met an inactive Mormon girl at a Waffle House. A number of years later now, missionaries actually sat down with him and long story short, they're preparing to be sealed in the temple, as a family in three months. They've got an autistic 9 year old son and 5 year old identical twin daughters, and are some of the greatest people I have personally ever met. And of course, Scott's got some great stories. He was basically in charge of beating people up, so he has a pair of steel toed cowboy boots that have teeth marks in them and a serrated heel so when "he stepped and twisted, it really hurt"!
Yeah, and now he cuddles with two 5 year olds in sacrament. That's what the atonement does. It changes people's nature. Remember, that everyone has potential. Everyone is loved and deserves it.
Hope all is well with all y'all.
In the words of E.T., "Beeeee goooood".
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright

P.S.
I made some cookies!
