So, I was transferred to the Summerwood Zone over the Lake Houston YSA Branch. Which means that I have had seven areas and have served in every single Zone and every single stake in the mission. Kinda crazy but I've seen a lot, AND it's come in handy because the branch I cover is over The Houston East, Kingwood and Summerwood Stakes. In other words, I cover four of my old areas: Broadway, Baytown, Kingwood and Tidwell. SO MUCH DRIVING. I think we drove somewhere around 400 miles this past week. But it's been great to see old areas.
My new companion is Elder Stephensen. He's a transfer older than me, so I'll most likely be killing him in two transfers. But this is him after morning workouts drinking juice on the floor.
He's 6'5. We're definitely the weirdest looking and behaving companionship I've seen in a while. But this past week has been filled with a lot of laughter, so I think this is gonna be great.
So we used to cover both the YSA and the family ward, but because of all the new missionaries, they gave the family ward to a new set, and we're just YSA. However the new apartment we were supposed to move into isn't ready yet, so we've been all staying in the same apartment. PLUS we got a mini missionary so we've had five guys in one apartment. I've been sleeping on the floor for six days, and taking like 2 minute shower and shaves. Pretty fun.
Our area should pick up this week. We have to work solely on member referrals because we can't really go tracting for 18 to 30 year olds who are single. But we're gonna go visit the local colleges this week.
Also, as a Zone Leader, we take pictures of everyone so we can learn their names, and while we were taking pictures, Sister Boyd got a hold of my iPad and I found this:
So meet Sister Boyd.
Also Guess who dropped off our mini: Brother Moffat from Baytown! So good to see him again!
A lot of fun.
Also, check out my posterity (minus Elder Lawrence, he wasn't at transfers)
Right to left: Elder Wright, Elder Price, Elder Nikolaus, Elder (brother, I don't remember his name) and Elder Schenk.
And lastly,
Classic. That's pretty much all I got. But hey, It's been fun, and I love y'all
Elder M. Wright
