Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
Well this week was pretty fun. We finally moved into our new apartment and I would just like to show you how amazing we are at packing.
Look at that. We got a mattress in our little Chevy Cruze. As well as everything else we needed to take. You have my permission to be impressed.
Also it was really flippin hot this week.
That says 108°. And that was in the shade. Not including the humidity. So that was pretty miserable.
Then in our lesson with one of our investigators, Carolina, I was sitting next to a cross that had a zebra on it, so I snapped a picture. Cause I didn't get it, but it made me laugh so I thought I'd share it with you.
And then on Friday, we drove out to Liberty (about an hour away) to go to their district meeting and go on exchanges with the two sets of elders there. During the district meeting however, one of the elders got a call from someone who was told to go to their apartment on Friday morning to be dropped off for a mini mission. They had no idea. So then we looked at the sisters and asked them if they were getting one, and they said they didn't hear anything but that they didn't have their phone. So we drove back to their apartment to get their phone, and low and behold, they had a mini missionary as well. The APs didn't call anyone to tell them about their minis so the whole mission was frantically trying to gather their minis right at the time that district meeting was occurring. Pretty crazy. But then on exchanges I was with the Liberty Spanish Elders and it was a lot of fun. It's the biggest hipster bro companionship I've ever seen. So we had tons of fun and found this demonic dog with icy blue eyes. He charged us like 8 times and got pulled back by the chain. So there he is.
And lastly, there's this burger place in Liberty called Jax, and they have this sandwich called The Big Dirty. IT WAS SO GOOD. Cheese, guacamole, bacon, mushrooms, onions and lots of grease. But so tasty on a fresh made jalapeƱo bun. Mm. So tasty. I highly recommend it, should you ever find yourself in Liberty, Texas.
The girl we're teaching named Carolina is so great. We meet with her almost every day, and she texts us every morning and tells us to have a good day. And she's just so sweet and her dad always makes us juice when we come and it's total love. Reminds me of Alma 26:31 where we can see the fruits of our labors. Basically this is fantastic and I love it. And...
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
T.H.E. Mission
