A Week of Change

Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
MAN. What a week it has been!
This week we had zone conference, and finally got our car back! Only guess what: It has a "TiWi" black box inside it that monitors our speed, turning, RPM's, braking and aggressive driving and reports it directly to Salt Lake City. We have to log in with a card and it will monitor us and tell us "check your speed" or "aggressive driving." If we get too many points, we lose our driving privileges! It's really not that bad, and it's really forgiving, but it's pretty funny how we all now live in constant fear of a box. I've been making Elder McDonald drive and he's only gotten one "check your speed" warning and that was cause it changed from 75 to 60.
We also just got the announcement that we will become an iPad mission on May 26th. We'll have a mission conference on that day from 2:00pm-6:00pm and we will be instructed on how to proselyte with them. Super stoked.
What else happened this week... Oh! I got to interview one of the spanish missionaries investigators for baptism, so the branch president had to translate the whole thing back and forth. It was fascinating and one of the most confusing things I've ever done.
Also we got to go on exchanges with one of our AP's, Elder Brewer who is literally one of the greatest people I've ever met. You kinda just feel like dirt around him cause he's so good. But he did an exercise with us where he pretended that he was our little brother and we had gotten off our mission and we had to tell him why he should be obedient. And he would ask questions like "Were you obedient your entire mission?" and "What happens if I'm not?" It really made me think about what I could improve on.
The closer I get, the more I start questioning if everything I'm doing is a worthy offering to the Lord. I don't know if I've ever felt so much motivation to be better in my entire life, and I don't think I've ever questioned my actions more. And it's really great. I love it.
This work and church is true. If you truly desire to be happy, you will learn and act.
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright

P.S. St. Patrick's Day
