Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
So yeah. This week has been nuts. Spent the night in Kingwood on Monday cause we had Mission Leadership Conference on Tuesday, and it was great. We learned a lot and I'm just really grateful for the opportunity to be in leadership because there are so many more opportunities to learn. President Drake addressed us on the principle of Loyalty and so much was discussed. Talking about how Loyalty is uncompromising, and if it is truly found, it will overcome every selfish notion you have.
Upon returning, I went back to work, and we got a new investigator named Chris.
We roll up to this fancy old southern plantation style home, look through the windows as we knock, and see that it's still decorated like it's from the 1800's with candles, and lovely furniture and we were just wondering who would be on the other side. So out walks this little bald white guy who's wearing a basketball jersey and saggy shorts with tattoos, and holding a cigarette. We find out that Chris has had a pretty rough life, but he's adopting his nephew cause his brother's in jail, and is in Alcoholics Anonymous, and is trying to find a church. He's an epileptic and just wants to do better. So we're teaching him. He's really awesome.

Cause you need a Toga picture to break things up.

Also for my bday. I just worked. Simple. Appointments fell through so we rode around and talked to anyone. It was great. For dinner I had smoked bacon wrapped chicken with roasted corn and mashed potatoes. And of course, HEB brand Dr. Pepper. In all honesty, I couldn't have asked for anything better.
I love y'all.

There's a big old ship in our area that's technically illegal to take pictures of, but here it is at night. Spooooooooky.

The eyebrow is healing.
