King For A Day

Monday, April 28, 2014

Hello World,
It's been another good week.
New in the life of Elder Wright:
Elder Mitchell and I are staying together for another transfer. Time to fiesta. Oh yeah!
Jole's surgery went well, her kidney and cancer are gone, and she came home today. Mmhmm.
Oh and Sabrina's baptism was post-poned unfortunately because family couldn't make it.
BUT, here's an adorable picture of one of our member's child learning the gospel.

Also, we helped out with genealogy this week and we got Burger King gift cards for doing so, and that is why I was king for a day.

So this week's story is about the first point we teach as missionaries, and that is that God is our Loving Heavenly Father. Probably one of the greatest truths we teach. And it is because he loves us that we have this gospel. We often overlook it. But think about it. There's a quote by one of the twelve apostles that says, "Of all the titles given to a deity, God asks us to address him as Father." What does this mean to you? How is your relationship with your parents or even your children similar to your relationship with your Heavenly Father? Why do we have this restored gospel? This good news that we tell anyone who will listen? Because God loves us. He loves us more than we can comprehend and He knows each of us by name. Remember that you are His child. And He loves you. Cherish that truth.
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
