Chicken and A Testimony

Monday, April 7, 2014

Hello World,
So, I learned something this week. Priesthood power cannot heal everything (see what's left of squirrel below).
That and I get along with chickens all too well. But HE'S SO FLUFFY!
So, there's the humor for the week.
In other news, we have a young 9 year old, who's family we recently reactivated, who's gonna be baptized on the 18th. Oh yeah...her name is Sabrina Halloway, and she's awesome. So, love her. I dare you.
Last week, my email was a little rushed because we went to watch a movie with President Crawford called the Saratov Approach. I highly recommend it if you havn't seen it. But I left with the beginning of my testimony of missions.
Before I came out, I must admit, I was not all in. I knew it was the right thing to do and that it would make me a better person, but I was not as excited as I should have been. I went anyway because I knew that it was what the Lord asked, so I put my faith in him. Skip ahead to now. Four months later. I can think of no greater thing to do with my life. The miracles I see on a daily basis and the joy I get from seeing people accept the Gospel makes me never want to stop doing this. So, if you are struggling with anything like going on a mission or even fulfilling your church calling, know that it is what the Lord has asked, and if you put your faith in Him and go forward full steam ahead, He will not forsake you. He will carry you through and bless you for it all. I promise you this. And leave you my testimony in the name of Jesus Christ.
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
