From Rags to Riches

Hello World,
This week brings a new area and new adventure in KINGWOOD, TEXAS.
Yes. It's real. I am in wealthy mansion filled Kingwood.
Honestly though, it's awesome. They have these things called Green Belts which are pathways that go through the woods throughout the entire city so it's super bike friendly. Then the other half of our area is Porter, which is full of rednecks! I get it all. It's really great though. The people don't usually wanna listen to us, but if they do, they go in all the way. FOR EXAMPLE:
The first night we were here, we taught this young couple named Andie and Mike Pena. They have a young son named Tony who's hilarious and they really liked what we had to say. They invited us back for dinner on Friday night, and we had some of the best steak I have ever had with twice baked potatoes. Glory. And then when we told him about the Book of Mormon, he was moved. He said he had always wondered why God wouldn't have talked to the rest of the world. And as he sat there staring at the book, he looked up and said "I'm gonna read this. Because I wanna know. I wanna know what God wants me to do, and I feel like this is it." As missionaries you could not ask for anything more than that. I have so much love for this family.
My new companion is awesome. His name is Elder Mitchell, and he's from Eagle Creek, Utah and we get along incredibly well. He's a transfer older than me, and he was with me in Baytown for my first transfer. We're both young, so we definitely have no idea what we're doing but we just rely on the spirit that much more. What a blessing. We are going to do work.
My friends, this is it. This is the great adventure. This is the happy place. This is all that I could ever ask for. Embrace it and you will find joy.
Love y'all
Elder M. Wright
P.S. Sorry, I forgot my camera. Lots of pics next week!
