This week has been a little on the slow side, except for one little miracle:
On Saturday, we decide to ride over to a lady who has had a few different dates, but has had a problem with smoking. Upon knocking on her door she answers and says "Oh yay! Let me grab my coat!" She closes the door and then comes back and steps outside, and says, "I've actually been wanting to get in touch with y'all. I want to set up a baptismal date." After Elder N. and I gathered our jaws from the floor, we continued to talk to her and found out that it's been over a week since she's had a smoke, and therefor, SHE'S GETTING BAPTIZED NEXT SUNDAY! Yes. Throw a party people, cause it's happening. Shannon Martin is going to be baptized. What joy it is to just write that. I'm so happy for and proud of her.
In other less exciting news, I caught a lizard while on exchanges with Elder Davis.
Our exchange was a lot of fun and we learned a lot and also got to talk to a Jehova's witness for like a half hour. Also, in case you don't know, we do role plays as missionaries to practice our teaching and in our companionship, we role play to balloons that we name after apostles and prophets. This one is named Boyd:
Love y'all
Elder M. Wright
p.s. If you write a letter to me, please label it with my first name. There's another Elder Wright in the mission who read through a whole letter before he realized it wasn't his. He apologized and I just laughed cause I thought it was funny.
"MacKinley Wright" or "Mac Wright"
