Well it's been quite a week. We've had to balance two areas but it's been pretty fun in all honesty. Being in a trio is like having brothers. Two of them are always screwing around and the other one is trying to get the others to focus. But it's been great.
First off: Dogs. Dogs everywhere. I don't think I've mentioned it before, but there are dogs all over Baytown and like 70% of them are pitbulls. This is one lovable one from one of Elder Rice's Investigators. You can't tell but she had red painted toenails and was as loveable as can be.
It was a little difficult to get her to hold still, but she's adorable.
Then we visited a less active and she opens the door and we see this loveable hunk of mutt.
Basically I love dogs.
And then yesterday in our area, this happened:
Needless to say drinking and driving in fact do not go together. But we helped them un-stick it and as we're doing so, this gimid-20 year old girl comes bounding up and says "Hey I used to go to y'alls church!" So I talked to her and turns out she was like 3 days away from her baptism date, and her husband who was going to get baptized with her was put in jail for life. But she came up and was like "so I've been evaluating my life and I realized that the only time I was doing well was when I was going to y'alls church, and I mean I wasn't smoking or nothing so I wanna go back" to which I replied with "ok well then we'll come and see ya, and get you off smoking" and she said "awesome!" To which I said "So do you wanna get baptized?" and she said "Yeah, totally". So world, her name is Chelsey and she is a daughter of God. Pray for her and love her and we will greatly appreciate it.
I love y'all so much and I'm so excited to be staying here in Baytown for another transfer. Look out Baytown. We're just getting started.
