Bill the Hurricane

Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
Well, this week was long and crazy. But first things first, I'm staying in Tidwell! But Elder Allen is leaving. I'm sad to see him go, but he was called to be a district leader and I can't wait to see what he does. He's a stud.
On Monday we had zone pday at President Art Rascones house. He's an anchor for the Houston news, and also the second counselor in our mission presidency. He's awesome and has so many great stories and is so humble regardless of all he's accomplished. So I took this picture of Elder Allen in President Rascone's office and titled it "Things I Will Never Achieve". It was a mutual sentiment.

It was so fun. He also had his own theater that was wicked.

On Tuesday we were supposed to have a zone conference with Elder Foster, but there was supposedly a hurricane named Bill coming, so we bought a bunch of water, and were told to stay inside and they flew Elder Foster home. However, Bill never progressed. And we were stuck inside all day for naught. Never lost power. Never lost water. Rained sporadically. That's about it. Staying inside is maddening.

Then we actually had our zone conference on Thursday and it was great! Very uplifting. We talked about the importance of journal keeping and how it was not for us but for our posterity and like the small plates of Nephi, we needed to write the most important spiritual experiences there. We also talked about how to make member work progress. It was the idea of going from "missionaries and members" to "members helping missionaries" be more missionary minded to "missionaries helping members" by teaching their friends and family.
Other than that, we went out and talked to a bunch of people and it was super fun.
I'm sad to see all these friends I've made go, but I'm looking forward to this transfer. I really want to just serve. Which I know I've always felt, but now more than ever, I'm focussing on consecration. I want to be where my feet are. Because if I'm in the right place at the right time, I trust that the Lord will use me how he needs me.
I love this work. I love y'all. Thank you for all your love and support.
