How to Save a Life

Howdy Friends and Neighbors,
First things first, it rained this week.

And we biked in it. I dunno if you can tell, but we're soaked.

Hm. So let's see. This week I actually was a little sick, so I missed a day of adventures, but I'm back in the action. However, on Thursday, we knocked on the door of our investigator, and we heard an old lady inside start crying for help. We asked what was wrong and she said she was falling off the couch, and couldn't breathe. She told us where the spare key was, but we couldn't find it, so we jumped the fence to her backyard, (mind you it's sprinkling the whole time so it's super slippery and muddy) and none of the doors were open.  Finally I find a window that's open, I cut the screen, pull it off, and then open it and guess what: It's the one over the kitchen sink. And they're Hispanic so there's about 80 little china roosters and tea cups that I have to carefully move out of the way while my legs are dangling out the window. I finally make it in, and pick her up, let Elder Allen in, who has the cops on the phone, find out she's alright, doesn't need EMS, so we set her up in her wheel chair and ride off into the rain. We went back a few hours later once our investigator was home, and had a lesson. And then he came to church! And he loved it so much, he wants his family to be involved so were gonna go teach them on Wednesday. Super stoked.
So there's the adventure for this week. Hope y'all enjoyed it. Also Elder Allen and I had a toga party. I honestly have no idea how I keep convincing my companions to do this. So enjoy it. And we went to Chipotle for the first time in 18 months. It was soooo good. It was also Elder Allen's first time so I was really happy to have shared that with him.
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
