This week was slow. EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT SABRINA GOT BAPTIZED!
This lovely nine year old was baptized and confirmed yesterday. This is Sabrina Holloway:
She's so cool. And sweet. And bubbly. And dang could you feel the spirit. Her Father baptized her and she was so happy. You could tell. It's been a joy to teach her because you really learn what it means to become as a little child. Where she only needed the most basic doctrine and prayer to know that this is the true church. It was so great. AND some of the sister missionaries in our zone brought their investigators to the service and he told them immediately thereafter that he wanted to start the quit smoking program ASAP so he could be baptized. The Holy Ghost will bear witness and testify of the truth. And that is what it did. So. Hurrah.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Saturday was a service day for us. So what did we do? We took apart a 27x6x5 ft chicken coop, moved it to a new location in a couple trips, rebuilt it and then transported approximately 30 chickens to their new home. I got covered in chicken turds. Fun times as a missionary. But for real, it was fun. Gotta love chickens. They have the greatest personalities.
Also, the Smiths got us ugly ties! Here's Elder Mitchell opening his:
And here they are together:
Mmm. Tasty.
That's pretty much it aside from some more funny pictures.
Love y'all,
Elder M. Wright
And some lovely words of advice from the Porter First Baptist Church.
Teaching 'em young.
