Well. It's been a while.
Sorry for the late response, the libraries were closed yesterday.
Well there has been so much that happened this week, that I just don't even know what to talk about.
We lost one of our super legit investigators who accepted baptism at the first lesson and prayed at the first lesson because her fiancé doesn't like us. So. That's dumb. But alas! We contacted this one girl who set up an appointment with us to get us to go away, and when we showed up at the appointment her sister came out to talk to us, and we gave her a Book of Mormon and a Bible and got her crying, and she's just really sweet. And the best part (wait for it) SHE HAS TWO BAPTISMAL AGE CHILDREN AND A HUSBAND. FAMILY.
That is the greatest thing I've seen all week. A family with a mother who is prepared to receive the gospel. Miracles people. Miracles.
We also have an investigator who is so close to baptism she might drown. Only one problem that everyone we meet has: she smokes. Seriously I'm pretty sure Baytown is just a breeding ground for lung cancer.
Each day, we meet people who lack something. And many of them don't want help and it's tragic when that happens. Each door slammed in my face is not a wound to our pride, but instead to our hearts. The people here are so great, and yet they won't let us help them. It is sad. But those who are ready for our help are there. So. We go to find them.
Love y'all. Stay classy.
Elder Wright
